“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you. Seven Cups in the Bible

1.         The Lord’s Cup: “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it”…Jeremiah 25:15

 2.        The Sinner’s Cup: “On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will their lot”…Psalm 11:6

3.         The Lord’s bitter cup of suffering: Going a little further, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will”…Matthew 26:39

4.         The cup of salvation: I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD in the presence of all his people”…Psalm 116:13

5.         The cup of Holy Communion: “in the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me”…1 Corinthians 11:25

6.         The cup of the disciples: Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father”…Matthew 20:23

7.         Believer’s cup of joy and blessing: “you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows”…Psalm 23:5

What if Christ Had Not Come?

Have you ever thought about what has happened because Christ has come to the world? Our world has felt the mighty impact of Jesus Christ. His compassion has made the world more compassionate, his healing touch has made the world more humanitarian his selflessness has made the world more unselfish; his sacrifice has made the world more self-effacing. Christ drew a rainbow of hope around the shoulders of men and women and gave them something to live for. If Christ had not come, this would be a lost world. There would be no access to God; there would be no atonement; there would be no forgiveness; there would be no Savior.

Is he your Savior? Have you invited him into your heart? Or is your life like the congested little inn in Bethlehem—too crowded for Christ? If you have everything except Christ, you still have nothing; but if you have little else besides Christ, you have everything. ` …Billy Graham

Are you concerned about spiritual, physical, or emotional fitness? If so, there is a timeless source of advice and comfort upon which you can—and should—depend. That source is the Holy Bible.

God’s Word has much to say about every aspect of your life, including your health. If you face personal health challenges that seem almost unsolvable, have faith and seek God’s wisdom. If you can’t seem to get yourself on a sensible diet or on a program of regular physical exercise, consult God’s teachings. If your approach to your physical or emotional health has, up to this point, been undisciplined, pray for the strength to do what you know is right.

God has given you the Holy Bible for the purpose of knowing His promises, has power, His commandments, His wisdom, His love, and His Son. As you seek to improve the state of your own health, study God’s teachings and apply them to your life. When you do, you will be blessed, now and forever.
