Colossians
3:23
Whatever you
do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,
Ecclesiastes
9:10
Whatever
your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you
are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
Hebrews
12:1-3
1 Therefore,
since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run
with perseverance the race marked out for us.
2 Let
us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the
joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the
right hand of the throne of God.
3 Consider
him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow
weary and lose heart.
Philippians
3:13-14
13 Brothers,
I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
14 I press
on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in
Christ Jesus.
Isaiah
40:29-31
29 He gives
strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even
youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those
who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like
eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Thessalonians
3:10-13
10 For even
when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall
not eat.”
11 We hear
that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies.
12 Such
people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the
bread they eat.
13 And as
for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.
