Luke 1:68-75
68 “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has
come and has redeemed his people.
69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house
of his servant David
70 (as he said
through his holy prophets of long ago),
71 salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who
hate us—
72 to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy
covenant,
73 the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
74 to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable
us to serve him without fear
75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
Micah 1:9
For her wound is
incurable; it has come to Judah. It has reached the very gate of my people,
even to Jerusalem itself.
Daniel 2:44-45
44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up
a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people.
It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself
endure forever.
45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a
mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the
clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. “The great God has shown the king what
will take place in the future. The dream is true and the interpretation is
trustworthy.”
Jeremiah 32:22
You gave them this land you had sworn to give their
forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
Psalm 72:8-9
8 He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends
of the earth.
9 The desert tribes will bow before him and his enemies will
lick the dust.
Psalm 2:8-9
8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them
to pieces like pottery.”
