Too Close to Turn Around
Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
We are too close to heaven to worry about tribulations
We are too close to seeing Jesus to be delayed by distress
We are too close to receiving our crown to deterred by persecutions
We are too close to a land of plenty to falter over famine
We are too close to wearing new robes in glory to be distraught over nakedness
We are too close to everlasting peace to allow perils to turn us back
We are too close to studying war no more to worry over man-made swords
Fools for Christ
1 Corinthians 4:10
We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!
They followed Christ with complete devotion
Their allegiance was to a crucified Savior
They rejected the visible and accepted the invisible
Hold On
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
As Christians we can endure because:
The victory has already been promised
God is more powerful than the world against us
We have eternal blessings awaiting us
