Romans 5:1-2
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
Peace with God is acquired when we have faith in Jesus
Peace with God is acquired when Jesus gives us access to God
Peace with God is acquired when God extends his grace
While We Were Yet Sinners
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Christ loved us when we were unlovely
Christ loved us when we were unworthy
Christ loved us when we uncaring
Our Hope Is Not in Vain
Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Our hope is not in vain because:
Trouble makes us cling to our hope
God consoles us in our sufferings
Troubles don’t last always
The Transforming Power of God
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good,
pleasing and perfect will.
God transforms the “heart” of man
God transform the “will” of man
God transforms the “mind” of man
