Zephaniah 3:15-17
15 The LORD has taken away your punishment, he has turned
back your enemy. The LORD, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will
you fear any harm.
16 On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Do not fear, O
Zion; do not let your hands hang limp.
17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He
will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will
rejoice over you with singing.”
Ephesians 1:19-20
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That
power is like the working of his mighty strength,
20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the
dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the
world does.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself
up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the
government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Psalms 71:8
My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor
all day long.
Thoughts on Today's Verse....
Our mouths can be filled with food, profanities, or gossip.
Or... we can choose for our mouths to be filled with praise for God and his
loving grace. We can talk about many things and speak to many different people
about many different subjects. Or... we can choose to declare the greatness,
majesty, and splendor of our heavenly Father all during our day. Why don't we
choose to praise God with our mouths and tell him of his greatness and let
others know of his grace as we go about today's activities?
