By what means may the
knowledge of God be acquired?
By teaching
2 Chronicles 30:22
Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed
good understanding of the service of the LORD. For the seven days they ate
their assigned portion and offered fellowship offerings and praised the LORD,
the God of their fathers.
1 Corinthians 12:28
And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles,
second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts
of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and
those speaking in different kinds of tongues.
John 5:39-44
39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that
by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about
me,
40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
41 “I do not accept praise from men,
42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of
God in your hearts.
43 I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me;
but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.
44 How can you believe if you accept praise from one another,
yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?
Matthew 13:13-15
13 This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they
do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘you will be
ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never
perceiving.
15 For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly
hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see
with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn,
and I would heal them.’
John 8:43
Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable
to hear what I say.
John 8:47
He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do
not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
