About Loving God
John 14:15
“If you love me, you will obey what I command.
John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who
loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him
and show myself to him.”
Mark 12:29-30
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear,
O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
1 John 4:19-21
19 We love because he first loved us.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is
a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love
God, whom he has not seen.
21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must
also love his brother.
About Trusting God
Philippians 3:3
For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the
Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the
flesh—
Jeremiah 17:7-18
17 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose
confidence is in him.
8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out
its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are
always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear
fruit.”
Psalms 56:3-4
3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be
afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
