Luke 8:24-25
24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master,
we're going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters;
the storm subsided, and all was calm.
25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and
amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and
the water, and they obey him.”
Luke 12:4-5
4 “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill
the body and after that can do no more.
5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who,
after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell
you, fear him.
Luke 23:40
But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don't you fear God,” he
said, “since you are under the same sentence?
Acts 7:30-32
30 “After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses
in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.
31 When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went
over to look more closely, he heard the Lord's voice:
32 ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob.’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.
Acts 9:31
Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed
a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it
grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.
Acts 10:34-35
34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is
that God does not show favoritism
35 but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what
is right.
2 Corinthians 5:11
Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to
persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your
conscience.
