About Compassion
Matthew 5:44
44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes
his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and
the unrighteous.
Galatians 6:1-3
1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are
spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be
tempted.
2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will
fulfill the law of Christ.
3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he
deceives himself.
1 John 3:16-18
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down
his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in
need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but
with actions and in truth.
About Self-Worth
1 Corinthians 1:1-4
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will
of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified
in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who
call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:
3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ.
4 I always thank God for you because of his grace given you
in Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but
set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in
purity.
Colossians 3:10-11
10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in
knowledge in the image of its Creator.
11 Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised,
barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
