In faith – He is the author and perfector of our faith
Hebrews 12:2
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our
faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
In purity – we should be pure just as Jesus is pure
1 John 3:3
Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as
he is pure.
In patience – consider Him who endured such opposition from
sinful men
Hebrews 12:3
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so
that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
In humility – your attitude should be same as that of Jesus
Christ
Philippians 2:5-11
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality
with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself
and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him
the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven
and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.
In suffering – Jesus as an example – follow in His steps
1 Peter 2:21
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you,
leaving you an example that you should follow in his steps.
In character – you must walk as Jesus walked
John 2:6
Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
In brotherly love – live a life of love just as Christ loved
us
Ephesians 5:2
And live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave
himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
