Prophecy concerning the Rapture
John 14:1-3
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust
also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I
would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back
and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Titus 2:13
While we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of
our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Philippians 3:20
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a
Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Revelation 22:20
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming
soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
The fact and manner of the Rapture
1 Corinthians 15:23
But each in his own turn: Christ, the first fruits; then,
when he comes, those who belong to him.
1 Corinthians 15:51-58
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but
we will all be changed—
52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and
we will be changed.
53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the
imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
54 When the perishable has been clothed with the
imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written
will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your
sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the
law.
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move
you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know
that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Thessalonians 2:19
For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will
glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?
1 Thessalonians 3:13
May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless
and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with
all his holy ones.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those
who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.
14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we
believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who
are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not
precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a
loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so
we will be with the Lord forever.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and
through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming
of our Lord Jesus
