Jesus knows what we want from Him to-day. He wants a specific
request and an expression of the faith. One law of answered prayer is ask, seek
and knock.
Matthew 7:7-11
7 Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock
and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread,
will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto
your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good
things to them that ask him?
Matthew 21:21-22
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you,
If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the
fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be
thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive.
In the pathway of
faith….
In the pathway of faith we come to learn that the Lord’s
thoughts are not our thoughts, nor His ways our ways. Both in the physical and
spiritual realm, great pressure means great power! Although circumstances may
bring us into the place of death, that need not spell disaster—for if we trust
in the Lord and wait patiently, that simply provides the occasion for the
display of His almighty power. “Remember His marvelous works that He has done;
His wonders and the judgments of His mouth” (Psalm 105:5)
