Mark 15:15-16
15 Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to
them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.
16 The soldiers led
Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the
whole company of soldiers.
John 3:1-5
1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a
member of the Jewish ruling council.
2 He came to Jesus at
night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no
one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
3 In reply Jesus
declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is
born again.”
4 “How can a man be
born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time
into his mother's womb to be born!”
5 Jesus answered, “I
tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of
water and the Spirit.
Romans 10:8-9
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your
mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
9 That if you confess
with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him
from the dead, you will be saved.
Philippians 2:12-13
12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not
only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your
salvation with fear and trembling,
13 for it is God who
works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
1 John 2:3-4
3 We know that we have come to know him if we obey his
commands.
4 The man who says, “I
know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in
him.
John 3:3
In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can
see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
