Christ is called:
Head of the Church
Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the
beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might
have the supremacy.
Ephesians 1:22-23
22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him
to be head over everything for the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills
everything in every way.
Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head
of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Lamb
John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,
“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Acts 8:32-35
32 The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: “He was
led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
33 In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can
speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.”
34 The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the
prophet talking about, himself or someone else?”
35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and
told him the good news about Jesus.
Revelation 5:6
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing
in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the
elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God
sent out into all the earth.
Revelation 7:14
I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who
have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made
them white in the blood of the Lamb.
1 Peter 1:18-19
18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such
as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down
to you from your forefathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without
blemish or defect.
