The Test of Time

Matthew 7:25  

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

~ The test of time confronts every person

~ The test of time can be a friend or a foe

~ The test of time is symbolic of divine judgment

You Will Trust in God

Hebrews 3:18  

And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?

~ Though friends betray me

~ Though circumstances overwhelm me

~ Though God destroys me to promote his kingdom

God is long suffering

For this reason He wants people to repent

Romans 2:4  

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

Ezekiel 18:23  

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? Declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

Ezekiel 18:32  

For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

He wants everyone to be saved

2 Peter 3:9  

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:15  

Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.
