Isaiah 40:29
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the
weak.
1 Corinthians 1:19
For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the
intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
1 Corinthians 1:25-28
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and
the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not
many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many
were of noble birth.
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the
wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised
things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,
Psalms 8:2
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained
praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Watch and Pray
“Watch and pray so
that you will not fall into temptation.” Mark 14:38, NIV
“Watch.” . . . Keep
your eyes open. When you see sin coming, duck . . . When you sense temptation,
go the other way . . .
“Pray.” . . . What
prayer does is invite God to walk the shadowy pathways of life with us . . .
guarding our backside from the poison darts of the devil.
“Watch and pray.” Good advice. Let’s take it. - Max Lucado
