Demand faithfulness in church attendance
1 Timothy 5:17-20
17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are
worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.
18 For the Scripture says, “Do not muzzle the ox while it is
treading out the grain,” and “The worker deserves his wages.”
19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it
is brought by two or three witnesses.
20 Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that the
others may take warning.
Hebrews 13:7
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.
Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Hebrews 13:17
Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep
watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work
will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
Recognize men of like faith
Acts 1:15
In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group
numbering about a hundred and twenty)
Acts 2:47
Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And
the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
2 Peter 1:1
Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those
who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received
a faith as precious as ours:
Revelation 3:4
Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their
clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.
