Watchfulness
Mark 13:34-37
34 It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and
puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at
the door to keep watch.
35 “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when
the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight,
or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
36 If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you
sleeping.
37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
Worship
John 4:23-24
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true
worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind
of worshipers the Father seeks.
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in
spirit and in truth.”
Zeal
Romans 12:11
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual
fervor, serving the Lord.
Humility
Philippians 2:3-11
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,
but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
4 Each of you should look not only to your own
interests, but also to the interests of others.
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ
Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider
equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of
a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled
himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and
gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in
heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
