Psalms 139:7-10
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your
presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed
in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far
side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will
hold me fast.
Deuteronomy 20:1
When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and
chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the
LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.
Deuteronomy 20:3-4
3 He shall say: “Hear, O Israel, today you are going into
battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be
terrified or give way to panic before them.
4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight
for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
Isaiah 45:2-3
2 I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will
break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.
3 I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in
secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who
summons you by name.
Psalms 34:4
I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from
all my fears.
Thoughts on this verse…
Have you sought the LORD lately? Many of us made a commitment
to turn all of our lives over to him last week; how have you done at that
commitment? God promises wisdom to those who ask and don't doubt. Have you
asked for wisdom recently? Let's join our hearts together, and with the
Spirit's help, let's seek our Father so that we can honor and glorify him,
finding our blessing in his presence.
