About courage
Isaiah 43:1-3
1 But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, O
Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have
summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and
when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk
through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your
Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I
am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes
hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Psalms 31:19-20
19 How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for
those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge
in you.
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the
intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues.
About Faith
Hebrews 11:3
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's
command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because
anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those
who earnestly seek him.
Romans 1:17
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a
righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The
righteous will live by faith.”
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not in despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not
destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are
wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us
an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
