Worship idols is to:
To worship God with a molten image
Exodus 32:4-6
4 He took what they handed him and
made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool.
Then they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of
Egypt.”
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf
and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.”
6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt
offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat
and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
Psalms 106:19-20
19 At Horeb they made a calf and
worshiped an idol cast from metal.
20 They exchanged their Glory for an image of a bull, which
eats grass.
Worship angels
Colossians 2:18
Do not let anyone who delights in
false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a
person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind
puffs him up with idle notions.
Worship the sun moon and stars
Deuteronomy 4:19
And when you look up to the sky and
see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed
into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has
apportioned to all the nations under heaven.
Deuteronomy 17:3
And contrary to my command has
worshiped other gods, bowing down to them or to the sun or the moon or the
stars of the sky,
Worship evil spirits
Revelation 9:20
The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues
still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping
demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see
or hear or walk.
