Is the power of God to save us:
Romans 1:16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of
God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the
Gentile.
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are
perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 15:1-2
1 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I
preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the
word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
Shows the grace of God:
Acts 14:3
So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking
boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to
do miraculous signs and wonders.
Acts 20:32
“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which
can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are
sanctified.
Acceptance of the Gospel is associated with - Repentance:
Mark 1:5
The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem
went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan
River.
Acceptance of the Gospel is associated with - Faith needing
to believe:
Hebrews 4:2
For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they
did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who
heard did not combine it with faith.
