John 1:12
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his
name, he gave the right to become children of God—

Romans 9:7-8
7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's

God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as
Abraham's offspring.

2 Corinthians 12:14
Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will
not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you.
After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents
for their children.
