Weak
1 Corinthians 8:7
But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so
accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having
been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.
1 Corinthians 8:10
For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this
knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has
been sacrificed to idols?
1 Corinthians 8:12
When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound
their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.
Defiled
Titus 1:15
To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are
corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and
consciences are corrupted.
Witnessing
Romans 2:12-15
12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from
the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in
God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.
14 (Indeed, when
Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law,
they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law,
15 since they show that the requirements of the law are
written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their
thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)
Romans 9:1
I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience
confirms it in the Holy Spirit—
