The witness of the Old Testament prophets Enoch…prophesied…the Lord is coming with thousands…

Jude 14

14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,

Job 19:25

25 For I know that my Redeemer lives,

 And He shall stand at last on the earth;

The witness of the New Testament apostles. The Lord himself will come down.

1 Thessalonians 4:16

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

He is coming with the clouds…

Revelation 1:7

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

The witness of the angels. “This same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way.”

Acts 1:11

11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

The witness of the creation. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed…in hope.

Romans 8:19-20

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;

The witness of Christ Himself. “If I go and prepare a place for you. I will come back and take you to be with me.

John 14:3

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
