The Power of Prayer

Prayer has a tremendous spiritual power. Through prayer a believer has access to the throne of grace.

We can literally fellowship and communicate with God through prayer. The Bible says the prayer of faith shall avail much. The Bible guarantees answers to the prayers prayed  with faith and according to the will of God (Mark 11:24).

There is also greater power when two people agree on something and pray (Matthew 19:18). There is even greater power when a group of people and pry in one accord.

Molded by the Master

Too often we look around at the talents and abilities of others and wish to be more like someone else. But we have been perfectly designed for the purposes God has for us, and He makes no mistakes. If we spend our time wishing for talents that do not suit God’s plan, or if we refuse to use the spiritual gifts He’s given us, we waste His effort and our opportunity to serve Him.

The Master is pleased with the way that He has designed our life and the abilities He’s poured into us. To honor the Potter as a vessel should, we must submit to being molded and used as He desires.

Ephesians 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

The battle we face is not a physical one. Instead, it is a spiritual battle with powers that we do not easily see and which are very powerful. We shouldn't dismiss this as an imaginary battle or as an irrelevant struggle. Just as clearly as Satan was crouching at Cain's door, desiring to have him, so he crouches at our door (Gen. 4:7). He will use his forces of evil to do all he can to defeat, destroy, or corrupt us. We must take this war seriously and recognize the spiritual power of our foe.

Evangelism:

The most overlooked key to growing a church: we must love unbelievers the way Jesus did.

H. O. P. E.

Hold On, Pain Ends

The Church.

The Church is a lifeboat, not a pleasure boat. The Church that does not seek the lost is lost itself.

Jesus

. There is no difficulty He cannot overcome.

. There is no stronghold He cannot break.
