Men to be blameless
1 Timothy 5:7
Give the people these instructions, too, so that no one may
be open to blame.
Rich to be humble
1 Timothy 6:17
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be
arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put
their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
Rich to trust in God
1 Timothy 6:17
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be
arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put
their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
Rich to do good works
1 Timothy 6:18
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be
generous and willing to share.
Rich to lay hold on eternal life
1 Timothy 6:19
In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a
firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that
is truly life.
Evangelism
"I have never known a person sweat blood; but I have
known a person pray till the blood started from his nose. And I have known
persons to pray till they were all wet with perspiration, in the coldest
weather in winter. I have known persons pray for hours, till their strength was
all exhausted with the agony of their minds. Such prayers prevailed with
God." – Charles G. Finney
