Lost men are compared to lost sheep

Psalms 119:176

I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.

Isaiah 53:6

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

Jeremiah 50:6

“My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place.

Matthew 10:6

Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.

Luke 15:4-6

4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders
6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’

Cross

What are you doing with Jesus, who died on the Cross of shame?
Are you boldly displaying His colors, and proudly bearing His name?
Or are you coldly spurning His wonderful love, so true? Oh! What are you doing with Jesus? He did so much for you.

Believer’s Daily Duties

Gather enough manna everyday

Exodus 16:4-5
4 Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.
5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.”
