Surrender
Mark 8:34-35
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples
and said: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his
cross and follow me.
35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but
whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.
Daniel 3:16-18
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, “O
Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.
17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we
serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king.
18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that
we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
John 20:17
Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet
returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am
returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
