Why to read the Bible books?

Matthew

Promises are meant to be kept. Read the book of Matthew to find out how God kept an ancient promise by sending Jesus to be the Savior of the whole world.

Mark

Sometimes good news needs to be kept secret until the time is right. The big secret in Mark is the answer to the question, “Who is Jesus”?

Luke

“Timing is everything” to the saying goes. Read Luke to find about how God choose Jesus and sent him to earth when the time was right.

John

Signs point us in the right direction. As you read John watch for the signs (miracles) that point out how Jesus is God’s powerful son.

Acts

What is the first thing you do when you hear good news? How do you share that news with others? Read Acts to discover how to good news about Jesus was spread far and wide.

Romans

What do people do in order to become acceptable to God? Read what Paul said to the Jewish and Gentile Christians about God’s powerful way of saving from their sin and accepting them as the people of God.

1 Corinthians

Faith in Jesus makes us friends with God and God’s followers, wherever they live. Find out how Paul planted the seeds of faith among the people of Corinth, and see how his “faith planting” also made his friendship with them grow and blossom.

2 Corinthians

What Paul said to the Corinthian Christians in earlier letters was true and meant to be helpful, but some took his words the wrong way. Read 2 Corinthians to discover how Paul pleads with them to “make room in their hearts for him” once again.

Galatians

What someone believes says a lot about who that person is. Find out why the apostle Paul had to defend himself and his message about Christ.
