Little - 1

Song of Solomon 2:15

Catch us the foxes,
The little foxes that spoil the vines,
For our vines have tender grapes.

Song of Solomon 8:8

We have a little sister,
 And she has no breasts.
What shall we do for our sister
In the day when she is spoken for?

Isaiah 28:10

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept,
Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, there a little.”

Micah 5:2

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
 From everlasting.”

  Haggai 1:9

You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.

Zechariah 1:15

am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease;
For I was a little angry,
And they helped—but with evil intent.”

How To Observe Thanksgiving

Count your blessings instead of your crosses.

Count your gains instead of your losses.

Count your joys instead of your woes.

Count your friends instead of your foes.

Count your smiles instead of your tears.

Count your courage instead of your fears.

Count your full years instead of your lean.

Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.

Count your health instead of your wealth.

Count on God instead of yourself.

Meet Jesus, tell Him – Thanks.

Lonely Life

. Oh, God, we go through life so lonely, needing what other people can give us, yet ashamed to show that need.  And other people go through life so lonely, hungering for what it would be such a joy for us to give.  Dear God, please bring us together, the people who need each other, who can help each other, and would so enjoy each other. - Marjorie Holmes

Principles in Life

. It is a fundamental principle in the life and walk of faith that we must always be prepared for the unexpected when we are dealing with God. - D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Prayers

O Father, inspire joy in me and those I love. I do not ask for this joy selfishly, but so that others can sense this deep and abiding joy within me and be open to hearing the message of Jesus, responding to his call to believe, and discovering the joy that is possible only because of the Spirit's presence in our lives. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Giver’s Big Hands

A young boy went to the local store with his mother.

The shop owner, a kindly man, passed him a large jar of suckers and invited him to help himself to a handful.

Uncharacteristically, the boy held back.

So the shop owner pulled out a handful for him.

When outside, the boy’s mother asked why he had suddenly been so shy and wouldn’t take a handful of suckers when offered.

The boy replied, "Because his hand is much bigger than mine!"

Thought

God's care is the certainty we take into life's uncertainties.

To error is human; to forgive, divine.

Win your Crown

But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. (Rev 12:11)

When James and John came to Christ with their mother, asking Him to give them the best place in the kingdom, He did not refuse their request, but told them it would be given to them if they could do His work, drink His cup, and be baptized with His baptism.

Do we want the competition? The greatest things are always hedged about by the hardest things, and we, too, shall find mountains and forests and chariots of iron. Hardship is the price of coronation. Triumphal arches are not woven out of rose blossoms and silken cords, but of hard blows and bloody scars. The very hardships that you are enduring in your life today are given by the Master for the explicit purpose of enabling you to win your crown.

Father God…You are Strong!

Psalms 18:32-34

32 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.
34 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

Ways – 3

And owns all your ways:

Daniel 5:23

And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

Ways are everything:

Hebrews 3:6

but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

Misery are in their ways:

Romans 3:16

Destruction and misery are in their ways;

Judgments and His ways:

Romans 11:33

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

Unstable in all His ways:

James 1:8

he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Their destructive ways:

2 Peter 2:2

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed

And true are your ways:

Romans 15:3

For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.”

Ways – 2

Righteous in all His ways:

Psalm 145:17

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
 Gracious in all His works.

For the ways of man are:

Proverbs 5:21

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord,
And He ponders all his paths.

Ways please the Lord:

Proverbs 16:7

When a man's ways please the Lord,
He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

He will teach us His ways:

Isaiah 12:3

Therefore with joy you will draw water
 From the wells of salvation.

Nor are your ways:

Jeremiah 6:16

Thus says the Lord:
“Stand in the ways and see,
And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,
 And walk in it;
Then you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

And examine all your ways:

Lamentation 3:40

Let us search out and examine our ways,
 And turn back to the Lord;

What do you think about Christ? – 3

To an Editor:

Luke 2:10

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

To a Philosopher:

1 Corinthians 1:24

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

To the Lost:

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

 To the Weary:

Matthew 11:28

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

To a Sinner:

1 Timothy 1:15

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Therefore, Christ is all, and He is all:

Colossians 3:11

where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all

Daniel 6:26-27

"I [Darius King of Persia] issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."

If a foreign King in the days of the Old Testament can recognize how grand and glorious our God is, surely those of us who have received his grace through Jesus can rejoice in him and give him praise!

“Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
 A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
Whoever believes will not act hastily

Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
