Be encouraged - 1

Dear friends I would like to draw your attention towards 2 Chronicles 20. I have been blessed immensely from this message.

God is going to guide us and teach us wonderfully and spirit filled way to apply this message in our personal lives.

Let’s us study this portion with His grace, blessings, His presence and  through the Holy Spirit. As we do so, our Lord is going to help each one of His readers with His divine wisdom to understand and apply this message in our lives.

Well, in this chapter, King Jehoshaphat had to face war not only with one country but three countries at one time. Before we go into the details of my message this time, I would like to ask if not all, but some of our senior citizens may be remembering some of the wars which our country India has fought in the past years.

As an introduction to this message, I would like to write few lines about the wars took place in our country -

I very clearly remember the wars particularly fought during 1962 & 1963 between Pakistan, China, & Portuguese. (Goa).

Most of the these war time, our prominent leader late Jawaharlal Nehru was our Prime Minister. During India and China war we had to make cease fire to stop the war. Pakistan and Goa wars were won easily.

Coming to Jehoshaphat also had to face the war. Point I want to make here is, whether poor or poorest, rich or richest one has to face some problems at some time, and many are facing all the time in their lives.

If you are a King you cannot be without problems. Thus king Jehoshaphat  had to face the problem of war between three armies. Who were they?

2 Chronicles 20:1 tells us that, they are: Moabites, Ammonites and Meunites.
In this we realize that – king Jehoshaphat    was told about this war or about this problem. Who told him?

V. 2 : “Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the sea. It is already in Hazazon Tamar [that is, En Gedi].

In English Bibles we read as – some people came and told king Jehoshaphat about this war. In Kannada Bible we read: some Angels came and told him.
Why so special treatment King Jehoshaphat received by way of informed about the war from others.
