Jesus meeting His Children

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. — Matthew 18:20
When are friends more than friends? When they gather in the name of Jesus and he meets with them there.

Our Lord’s surprise visits

Luke 12:40
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Stay Free

Galatians 5:1
If you are struggling today with old patterns that threaten to drag you down take God’s Word to heart. He tells us what to do and He also tells us how to do it.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)

What to do: Recognize and acknowledge what is happening in your heart and mind. Determine to stand firm in God’s ways. You have been freed from the old patterns of fear or whatever drags you down. Declare that you will not be burdened again by this slavery.
”…be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2b)
How to do it: Allow your thinking to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask for the very concrete help He has promised in His Word.

Interest Or Identification

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Thoughts

. Be generous in your surrender!  Meet His measureless devotion for you with a measureless devotion to Him.  Be glad and eager to hand over the control of your life to Him.  Whatever there is of you, let Him have it all.  Give up forever everything that separates you from Him. - Hannah Whitall Smith

. You cannot glorify God better than by a calm and joyous life. - Charles Spurgeon
