Facts about wise man


Proverbs 28:26

He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe.

1. He hears and increases learning:

Proverbs 1:5

Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—

2. He speaks dark sayings:

Proverbs 1:6

For understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

3. He inherits glory:

Proverbs 3:35

The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.

4. He appreciates correction:

Proverbs 9:8

Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.

Proverbs 17:10

A rebuke impresses a man of discernment more than a hundred lashes a fool.

5. He receives instruction:

Proverbs 9:9

Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.
