From the Book of Romans 5 –
1] helpless – “Without Strength” & Godless – “Ungodly”
Verse 6
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly
2] Sinful – “Sinners”
Verse 8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
3] Rebels – “Enemies”
Verse 10
For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
4] Dead – “Death passed upon all” & Deficient – “All have sinned”
Verse 12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned
5] Condemned – “Judgement came upon all men unto condemnation”
Verse 18
Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
The Lord’s Presence
Genesis 28:16
When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”
The Lord your God
Leviticus 11:44
I am the Lord your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves along the ground.
