The Pillars of the Earth

1 Samuel 2:8

He raises  the poor  from the dust and lifts the needy  from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honour.  “For the foundations  of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world.

He will guard our Feet

1 Samuel 2:9

He will guard the feet  of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. “It is not by strength  that one prevails;

Speak, Lord

1 Samuel 3:9

So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

The Lord has helped us

1 Samuel 7:12

Then Samuel took a stone  and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer,  saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

After His own Heart

1 Samuel 13:14

But now your kingdom  will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart  and appointed  him ruler  of his people, because you have not kept  the Lord’s command.”

The battle is the Lord’s

1 Samuel 17:47

All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword  or spear that the Lord saves;  for the battle  is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
