God Can

Jeremiah 31:13

Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well.  I will turn their mourning  into gladness; I will give them comfort  and joy  instead of sorrow.

1] God can turn our mourning into joy

2] God can comfort us in difficult times

3] God can make us rejoice in sorrow

True Bread Gives Its Life'

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, Moses didn't give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven. The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

— John 6:32-33

Bread is the "staff of life" in many countries. But physical bread can sustain only the physical body and for only a short time. Heavenly bread sustains long term. It gives genuine life. Why? Because it has come from heaven! Jesus is that true bread. He alone sustains forever. When our lives are joined to Jesus, his glory and his life become our own.

You Will Know!

Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out  whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. - John 7:17

Who are you trying to honor? What's the purpose of your life? If you are seeking to do the will of God, then you will know the origin of Jesus's teaching. If you are pursuing the truth, you will find that Jesus opens the door to heaven and opens your heart to God. Learn from him, and you will know the way to God!

Thoughts

"We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive." - C. S. Lewis

"In any museum we will find quite ordinary things - clothes, a walking stick, a pen, pieces of furniture - which are only of value because they were possessed and used by some great person. It is the ownership which gives them worth. It is so with the Christian. The Christian may be a very ordinary person, but he acquires a new value and dignity and greatness because he belongs to God. The greatness of the Christian lies in the fact that he is God's." - William Barclay
